FIA Confirms 2014 F1 driver entries and numbers

With just the two Caterham seats left to fill, the FIA has published the numbers the drivers have chosen to be on their cars from 2014 on out.

Sebastian Vettel has naturally chosen to stick with the number 1 only he is allowed to use as the 2013 World Drivers Champion. Ricciardo has chosen 3, Hamilton 44, Rosberg 6, Alonso 14, Raikkonen 7, Button 22, Magnussen 20, Grosjean 8 and Maldonado, unable to select his preferred 3, has gone with the very appropriate 13.

According to Ferrari's official report, Kimi was already #7 in 2013, and he saw no reason to change.
This is totally Kimi, whether authentic or the marketing creation.

I'm pleasantly surprised that anyone picked 13. It hasn't been on an F1 grid since the early 60s. With the last gen numbering they went 12 to 14 to leave out the superstitious number.

Also a pleasant surprise was Ricciardo actually admitting he chose #3 because of Dale. Thats awesome.

The one I am most curious about is Lewis Hamilton's pick of 44. My guess is that he picked it for the MacLaren MP 4/4, the car Senna dominated in. His worship of Senna is pretty well known and given that his helmet design is a tribute to Senna's, this seems logical. Can anyone confirm this?
